Sustainability

M&K cares about the planet.

Environmental Protection

The EPA defines Sustainability as “Everything that we need for our survival and well-being depends, either directly or indirectly, on our natural environment. Sustainability creates and maintains the conditions under which humans and nature can exist in productive harmony, that permit fulfilling the social, economic and other requirements of present and future generations.”

M&K is committed to our clients, employees, and the environment. We have a responsibility to the communities in which we live and operate, and to the planet on which we live.

Corporate Sustainability and “Green Initiatives” are growing in popularity within corporate America. The goal in implementing these programs is to protect the environment by furthering sustainable practices within organizations and communities.

M&K is fully committed to our clients, employees, and the environment. We have a responsibility to the communities in which we operate, and to the planet on which we live.

We contribute to a more sustainable world by striving to increase electronics recycling, promote reuse, improve efficiency and reduce waste.

ITAD, eCycling, and Universal Waste

M&K processes materials by employing a “Reuse, Recover, Dispose” philosophy. Extensive pre-screening and inspection processes allow us to evaluate all products in order to generate the best asset recovery value and proper re-use of that product. Our objective is that “whole” equipment and functional components are re-used for the manufacturer’s intended purpose. This process involves testing and refurbishing units as well as disassembly for component reuse. Non-functional and end-of-life equipment is disassembled and commodities are segregated for electronics recycling. Universal wastes are separated for recycling by certified processors. Non-ferrous and ferrous metals are “re-used” through proper recycling by downstream partners.
